Cloud Governance Analyst

An It Solotions Provider are looking for a Cloud Governance Analyst to oversee the governance of Cloud Computing across public cloud platforms.


Responsibilities:

• Governance Ownership: Working closely with the Head of Cloud Governance you will take charge of the governance strategy and execution for Cloud computing, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry best practices.
• Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the cloud environment, proactively devising and implementing risk mitigation measures to safeguard business operations and working with the business areas to get controls and measures in place.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to establish well-defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will facilitate a stronger governance and security posture of the cloud environments.
• Establish comprehensive cloud training programs to empower teams across Centrica with the necessary skills to leverage cloud technologies effectively.
• Facilitate the cloud frontdoor process to connect stakeholder requirements with the right teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to established cloud standards, principles, and best practices, promoting a consistent and secure cloud computing environment.
• Work with Cloud Engineering to develop and enforce governance policies (guardrails), ensuring cloud investments comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• With support from our suppliers and stakeholders arrange regular assessments of cloud platform maturity, recommending improvements and enhancements to elevate operational efficiency.
• Identify manual tasks, such as chasing teams and raising risks, within cloud governance processes, and seek automation opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and maintain consistent governance standards.
